BLAZEPAY ACH Reconciliation: Match Batch Reports to the Bank
BLAZEPAY ACH has two reports with different jobs. The Transaction Report lists activity at the individual-payment level. The Batch Report tracks deposits and withdrawals. BLAZE’s reconciliation guide recommends the Batch Report when matching Aeropay activity to bank movement.
Use the right report
Use the Transaction Report to look up a payment, customer transaction, fee, reward, or status. A refunded transaction still shows its original amount as a positive value; the status changes to refunded, but the amount does not. BLAZE says this report is not accurate for financial reconciliation.
The Batch Report is the settlement view. Its fields include Transaction Deposit, Refund Withdrawal, Fee Withdrawal, Payout Withdrawal, and a unique Batch ID. Use it to reconcile what moved through the merchant account rather than summing order-level activity from the Transaction Report.
Match the bank date
BLAZE notes that the Batch Report date plus one business day is the date the credit or debit appears in the business bank account. Align the report and bank statement using that timing before treating a one-day difference as an unexplained variance.
Reconcile the batch
For each selected location and date range, compare the batch’s Transaction Deposit with the bank credit. Track Refund Withdrawal and Fee Withdrawal separately; BLAZE’s guide calculates net payout from deposits minus refunds and fees. If a batch also includes Payout Withdrawal or Declined Payout Deposit, reconcile those as separate bank movements.
Use the Transaction Report afterward to trace a batch component back to an order or payment status. Avoid mixing its positive transaction amounts into the bank settlement calculation.
