Dutchie Floor-Depleted Alerts and Low-Stock Thresholds
Dutchie has separate controls for a sales-floor restock alert and for hiding a product from online menus. Confusing them can leave a product unavailable online when it is only low on the sales floor, or leave staff without an alert when backstock is available. The floor-depleted inventory guide explains the two thresholds.
Enable the alert
In Backoffice, the feature is enabled under Settings > Location by selecting View Floor Depleted Inventory. Users also need the View Inventory and Move Inventory permissions. When enabled, the banner appears at the top of the Inventory page.
Understand when it appears
If a product has a Replenishment quantity set in its catalog details, the alert appears when sales-floor quantity drops below that value. If no replenishment quantity is set, the alert appears when the Sales Floor room reaches zero and another room has stock.
This is different from the Low Stock Threshold, which controls when a product is hidden from online menus. Quarantine-room inventory is not included in the backstock quantity shown in the floor-depleted banner.
Move the stock
Inventory managers can open the alert and use Move to specify how much backstock to transfer into the Sales Floor room. The Dutchie guide also tells staff to physically move the inventory. Updating the room assignment in Backoffice alone does not complete the shop-floor restock.
A useful setup check is to review replenishment quantities by product, verify which rooms count as sales floor and backstock, and confirm that physical movement matches the recorded move.
